Early Sonor bass drum pedal

Made in Germany, 1910-1920s?

The footboard of this pedal is made of cast-iron, and was probably painted grey when new. This little pedal features the absence of the heel piece, you just need your toes. The beater shaft is quite long for todays standards but gives the pedal a nice sweep action. The triangle Sonor logo is patented back in 1907. See also 'in the beginning' at sonormuseum.com
Founded by Johannes Link in 1875, Sonor is probably the oldest drumfactory in the world alive.
